Arthuan Rebis Trio is Arthuan Rebis’s new live project, in which he is joined by two multi-instrumentalists: Nicola Caleo and Alice Petrin. The trio was founded in autumn 2024, but has already performed at several international festivals and events. Their performance venues include, for example, Lucca Comics, Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, Mittsommer Feuernacht, Druidia, Fantastika, Tolkien Studies Day and Festival dell’Arpa Viggianese.

The ensemble performs works from Arthuan Rebis’s albums as well as music inspired by his fantasy novels. The music is closely connected with the narrative worlds created by Arthuan, where mythology, spirituality and imagination intertwine.

Their highly original style is known as mythomagical folk. It unfolds through energetic and diverse rhythms, virtuosic Celtic harp, powerful nyckelharpa, alchemical ballads, throat singing and fairy-like vocals, as well as bagpipe harmonies.

The music of Arthuan Rebis Trio also contains shades of progressive, wave, medieval and pagan music. The result is a unique, multifaceted and dynamic musical language that takes the listener deep into a mythopoetic world.

The trio’s music is rich in references to Nordic, Celtic, Greek and Eastern traditions. Arthuan Rebis Trio proves that folk music can be ancient, imaginative, spiritual and captivatingly contemporary all at once.
